“Yoga therapy is a self-empowering process, where the care-seeker, with the help of the Yoga therapist, implements a personalized and evolving Yoga practice, that not only addresses the illness in a multi-dimensional manner, but also aims to alleviate his/her suffering in a progressive, non-invasive and complementary manner. Depending upon the nature of the illness, Yoga therapy can not only be preventative or curative, but also serve a means to manage the illness, or facilitate healing in the person at all levels.”

First Session
During your yoga therapy session I act as a supportive guide, compassionately empowering and offering my qualified expertise of yoga practices to enable you to progress on a path towards health and healing. This first session will be a little longer, 90 mins, to allow time for us to discuss in depth your individual needs and health requirements. A range of holistic assessments may be used during this process. Together we will co-create a preliminary plan which will encompass your unique health needs and goals. Any future sessions would be 75 mins.
MEET JULIE KIDD
In my 20s, I started practising and incorporating yoga and meditation into my routine. As life's demands grew, my dedication to these practices intensified. After a long career in retail and photography, I decided on a career shift and, in my late 40’s I enrolled on a yoga teacher training course. I haven't looked back since! I now embrace a balanced lifestyle, focusing on holistic well-being through yoga, meditation, mindful living, and personal growth.
Since 2019, I've been sharing yoga both in the community and one-on-one, finding immense joy in witnessing others' physical and mental growth. This led me to pursue further studies, and after more than two years of focused learning, I am now able to offer yoga therapy. I draw on my extensive training in Yoga Therapy with The Minded Institute, Chair Yoga, and meditation to empower clients individually and in groups. My other therapy work sees me specialising in Yoga Therapy within care homes and also working with clients with addiction in drug and alcohol rehabilitation centres. I offer tailored sessions that promote self-care and a positive mindset, using practices that have inspired me to empower others in their journey to a better health and well-being.
Inspiring and supporting you on your Journey of recovery
I have been working with clients in addiction centres for over three years now, sharing therapeutic yoga practices that help to support their recovery and that also complement The Twelve Steps recovery model. I work with groups at specialised clinics and also offer private 1 to 1 Yoga Therapy sessions.
